Summary:
• Execute cyber threat hunting, defensive cyber operations, and data science analysis across cloud and Big Data platforms.
• Analyze diverse data feeds, conduct statistical modeling, and build threat detection signatures to counter emerging threats.
• Develop intuitive dashboards and data visualizations to translate complex data into actionable operational insights.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 3+ years
• Total Compensation: $226k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Conduct cyber threat hunt operations on assigned Big Data Platforms and report findings through interactive sessions.
• Collect cyber operations requirements, develop use cases, and deliver technical training to operational end users.
• Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, model building, and data enrichment on platform data feeds.
• Create threat detection signatures and evaluate data streams utilizing tools such as SNORT, SIGMA, Yara, and YAML.
• Perform network traffic analysis using TCP-DUMP, Wireshark, Zeek, and related network inspection tools.
• Utilize query languages including SQL and KQL, along with Python and Jupyter notebooks, for deep data analysis.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using platforms like Power-BI and Superset.
• Leverage SIEM and SOAR technologies in alignment with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Maintain situational awareness of emerging cyber threats and assist in incident response and handling methodologies.
