Summary:
• Execute cyber threat hunting and defensive cyber operations utilizing data science and networking expertise.
• Perform operational research, statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and model deployment on Big Data platforms.
• Build custom threat detection signatures and communicate analytical findings using dashboards and visualizations.
• Translate operational requirements into automated platform capabilities and deliver technical training to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 3+ years
• Total Compensation: $226k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Conduct threat hunt operations across enterprise Big Data Platforms and cloud environments.
• Query and analyze large-scale datasets using SQL, KQL, and Python.
• Leverage statistical analysis to uncover patterns and present findings through visualizations and dashboards.
• Analyze network traffic and protocols using packet inspection tools including Wireshark, Zeek, and TCP-DUMP.
• Develop, interpret, and deploy detection signatures utilizing SNORT, SIGMA, Yara, and YAML.
• Support defensive operations using SIEM and SOAR tools such as Splunk, ELK, and Sentinel.
• Categorize attack stages and threats aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Evaluate, ingest, and perform quality assurance checks on diverse cyber defense data feeds.
• Provide technical demonstrations and user training on analytics capabilities.
