A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer.
Position Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Woburn, MA (Onsite)
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will:
Day to Day Responsibilities
• Lead architecture and requirements development activities that define, characterize, develop, and document Ground Based Radar (GBR) systems
• Contribute to architectural framework updates, system-of-system functional and performance requirements, detailed algorithm descriptions, test scenario definitions, and verification approaches
• Conduct requirements analysis and benchmarking to validate algorithm designs and ensure system-level performance aligns with operational objectives
• Collaborate closely with software and integration/test engineers to deliver innovative and high-performing radar solutions
• Support documentation, technical reviews, and customer engagements
Required Skills & Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience
• Direct experience in radar or missile-defense sensor systems, including Model Based System Engineering and/or Cameo
• Proficiency in MATLAB (including object-oriented programming) for algorithm development, system modeling, or performance analysis
• Hands-on experience in system modeling, algorithm design, test vector development, or radar performance analysis
• Experience developing or maintaining engineering processes, methods, or tools
• Documented experience showing analytic, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, oral presentations, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
• Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Advanced Degree in STEM
• Experience with radar system concepts: detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
• Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors, and evaluation tools in support of analyzing radar requirements or performance
• Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
• Experience working with Python, C/C++, Java, or DOORS
• Experience with the software development process using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Previous experience interfacing with customers and leading the development of technical solutions for complex user requirements
• Experience working with other disciplines and communicating with all levels of the organization and stakeholders

Pay Range*: $100-$120 per hour
