Description:
This position is for a Senior Systems Administrator to support TAD PGS, Inc. in Herndon, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security protocols. The Senior Systems Administrator will work closely with various teams to ensure the availability, security, and performance of critical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
• Oversee network systems and ensure optimal performance and security.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with software developers and other IT professionals to support application deployment and maintenance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Clearance: Secret clearance required.
