Senior Program Manager, IT Acquisition

SOS International, Inc. (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Program Manager, IT Acquisition to join our growing team in Herndon, VA!

Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Program Manager with a strong background in IT acquisition, program management, and government contracting to support our growing IT acquisition portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex IT programs, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact projects for our government clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex IT acquisition programs from planning through execution and closeout.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including risk management, cost/schedule/benefit analysis, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with technical teams, contract specialists, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on program objectives and deliverables.
• Oversee contract negotiations, amendments, and compliance with government regulations and requirements.
• Monitor program performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present program status reports to senior leadership and clients.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within the program management office.
• Mentor and guide junior program managers and team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP or equivalent program management certification strongly desired.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in IT acquisition and government contracting.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex IT programs.
• Strong understanding of government acquisition processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with IT systems, technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
