You will be responsible for the Special Access Program (SAP) IA posture across these operational and manufacturing environments, ensuring secure, mission-ready systems that sustain long-lived platforms and physical test/production infrastructure. You will lead and provide oversight to a diverse IA team, ensuring alignment with the business's security core capabilities, vision, mission, strategy, and goals across a geographically dispersed landscape of shop floors, test cells, and labs. The successful candidate is expected to have expert working knowledge of NIST information system protection policies and Risk Management Framework (RMF) procedures and tools, as prescribed within the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), as applied to industrial control systems, test equipment, and specialized lab/production computing environments.

Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain the formal information system security program for assigned areas of responsibility, including policies, procedures, and implementation guidance.
  • Translate JSIG, RMF, and NIST 800-series requirements into practical security controls and operating guidance for production, test, and laboratory environments.
  • Act as GE Aerospace's primary liaison to DoD SCAs, AOs, and PSOs supporting classified legacy programs and test/production operations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to a geographically dispersed Information Assurance team, including direct management of ISSOs.
  • Provide regulatory direction to internal IT staff supporting day-to-day operations as well as larger-scale projects.
  • Support the secure operation of industrial control systems, test equipment, and specialized lab/production computing environments.
  • Maintain working knowledge of COMSEC policies and procedures and support safeguarding and implementation practices, as applicable.
  • Participate in and support regulatory reviews, formal self-inspections, and cross-site inspections across GE Aerospace facilities.
  • Manage, maintain, and execute a robust continuous monitoring program to sustain accreditation posture and reduce risk.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years of Information Assurance
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent DoD 8570 IAM III security certification
  • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance based on a Tier 5 (T5) / SSBI

Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with experience guiding geographically dispersed security or Information Assurance teams.
  • Practical problem-solver who can translate complex regulatory requirements into workable solutions for labs, test cells, and production environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility with DoD authorities, internal IT teams, program leaders, and facility leadership.
  • Experience supporting specialized and legacy classified systems, including standalone, embedded, isolated, and industrial/test environments.
  • Strong audit and inspection readiness mindset with experience leading self-assessments, continuous monitoring, and corrective action tracking.
  • High attention to detail and sound judgment in managing risk, safeguarding classified systems, and maintaining accreditation posture.
