Job Description
We are looking for an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to design and deliver FPGA solutions for our high-voltage and I/O hardware platforms. You will work closely with systems, software, and hardware teams to build reliable, high-performance designs.
What You’ll Do
• Partner with systems, software, and hardware engineers to build FPGA designs for video processing, control systems, and system interfaces
• Maintain and support existing and legacy FPGA designs
• Develop and review requirements, and break them down into clear work packages
• Work with the team using issue tracking and revision control tools
• Build designs using existing Xilinx and third-party IP blocks
• Write new IP in VHDL and Verilog
• Define system constraints and achieve timing closure
• Debug through simulation and hands-on lab testing
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with Git or a similar revision control system
• Experience with Jira or a similar issue tracking tool
• Experience designing with ARM processors and the AXI bus on Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, or a solid understanding of similar SoC FPGA architectures, including PS-PL interfacing (bare-metal C or OS-based)
• Working knowledge of standard protocols such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, and CAN
• Familiarity with video interfaces such as LVDS and HDMI
• Proficiency with the Xilinx toolchain: Vivado, ISE, SDK, and Vitis
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs
• Experience with Xilinx CPLDs (needed for legacy product support)
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits
