Unix Engineer/System Administrator

A Global Defense Contractor is seeking a Unix Engineer/System Administrator to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO at Peterson Space Force Base.

Requirements:

• Active Final DoD Secret security clearance

• Meet IAT Level II certification requirements (Current Security + certification, CASP, CAP, and CISSP)

• Follow a 9x80A schedule

• 100% on-site

Key Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform daily systems administration and help desk tasks for Solaris and Linux environments.

• Automate administration tasks using scripting languages (Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.).

• Manage file systems, storage, and virtualization (ZFS, UFS, VEEAM, PDOM/LDOM)

• Configure and integrate systems with Active Directory and LDAP.

• Ensure cybersecurity compliance through best practices, STIGs, patching, and vulnerability remediation.

• Develop and maintain documentation, perform COTS assessments, and troubleshoot issues.

• Design, integrate, and install system releases, and create/update design documents for systems engineering lifecycle.
