Design Solutions That Drive the Mission: Join Us as a Solutions Architect!
At Adaptic, our Solutions Architects don’t just advise on technology—they design, integrate, and evolve the architectures that power mission success. Working across the DoD and Intelligence Community, you’ll help bring complex capabilities to life from concept through deployment.
Whether you're transitioning from systems engineering or already leading architecture efforts, we’re seeking Solutions Architects at all levels who enjoy solving complex problems, working across disciplines, and shaping systems that matter.
Your Impact
You’ll work across the full solution lifecycle—requirements, architecture, integration, testing, and deployment—supporting systems that operate at scale in high‑stakes environments. Day‑to‑day, that might look like:
-Analyzing mission needs, CONOPS, and existing architectures to define solution approaches
-Translating technical and operational requirements into detailed architecture designs
-Supporting or leading system design, development, and integration activities
-Guiding trade‑off decisions across hardware, software, cloud, and enterprise components
-Designing end‑to‑end system architectures using COTS/GOTS components
-Creating architecture artifacts (diagrams, data flows, interface definitions, models)
-Supporting integration strategies, test planning, and validation activities
-Contributing to technical documentation (architecture descriptions, requirements, design artifacts)
-Collaborating with systems engineers, software engineers, and mission stakeholders
-Identifying technical risks, resolving issues, and supporting system performance improvements
-Supporting deployment efforts and advising operators on system architecture and behavior
-Engaging with government stakeholders and program leadership on technical decisions and system evolution
Qualifications
-All positions require an active TS/SCI with polygraph
-Experience in solutions architecture, systems engineering, integration engineering, or related technical domains
-Understanding of system architecture, requirements development, and integration processes
-Experience working across hardware, software, cloud, or networked systems
-Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical challenges
-Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams and stakeholders
-A degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have
-Experience designing or integrating large‑scale or distributed system architectures
-Familiarity with architecture frameworks, modeling tools, or systems engineering methodologies
-Experience integrating COTS/GOTS solutions or evaluating technology options
-Exposure to cloud, DevOps, or modern infrastructure environments
-Experience supporting mission or operational environments within the IC/DoD
