All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. We are seeking a Technical Lead / Data Architect to spearhead the automated Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of records ingested into our enterprise object-based storage archive. In this high-visibility role, you will support Presidential and Federal Records Act compliance and eDiscovery efforts using the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) and Content Intelligence (HCI). You will be responsible for architecting the data audit framework, leading a small, dedicated engineering team, and acting as the primary technical liaison to Government leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture & Auditing: Architect scalable, automated audits comparing various source systems (Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, file shares, photos, etc.) against the object store using record counts, bytes, attributes, and drill-down segments.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small engineering team to maintain ~15 existing source-system audits and oversee the deployment of new audits within 30 days of implementing new system connectors.
- Compliance Frameworks: Define metadata schemas, data structures, and logging models to produce machine-readable audit logs, discrepancy reports, and non-resolvable discrepancy logs tailored for NARA compliance.
- Identity & Access Verification: Validate record tagging accuracy against Active Directory criteria and thoroughly investigate deviations in access permissions.
- Agile & Stakeholder Delivery: Drive the Agile team cadence, own Weekly Status Reports, and deliver Audit Discrepancy/Deficiency Reports within 3 business days of identification.
- Documentation & Briefings: Draft comprehensive end-to-end documentation covering verification methodologies and deliver technical briefings to Government executives and external data source owners.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on data architecture experience (qualifies for BPA LCAT minimum); 10+ years of senior-level experience is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. (4 additional years of direct relevant experience can completely substitute for the degree).
- Technical Expertise: Proven background designing data acquisition, enterprise archiving, disaster recovery, and metadata repository solutions.
- Data Validation: Strong experience building automated data validation, reconciliation mechanisms, or ETL verification pipelines at scale.
- Platform Knowledge: Deep familiarity with data structures in Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
- Leadership Presence: Track record of managing technical teams and reporting progress/metrics directly to senior federal stakeholders.
