Description:
On-site in Aiken, SC Our client seeks a highly experienced Advisory Engineer to provide senior-level technical expertise across nuclear facility operations, systems engineering, and safety analysis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of nuclear power plant design, operation, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor junior engineers in nuclear systems analysis and design.
• Develop and validate safety analysis models for nuclear reactor systems.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with NRC and other applicable standards.
• Perform risk assessments and probabilistic safety assessments (PSA).
• Oversee the integration of new technologies and upgrades within existing nuclear facilities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for client reviews.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize plant performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations or design.
• Strong understanding of ASME, ANSI, and NRC regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD tools, thermal-hydraulic simulation software, and PSA methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with advanced reactor designs (SMRs, Gen IV).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity applications in nuclear facilities.
• Familiarity with international nuclear standards (IAEA, WNA).
