Job Description
Eagle Harbor is seeking a Financial Analyst in the Austin, Texas area to support the U.S Government. The Financial Analyst will assist with various financial matters and serve as a liaison with federal employees, contractors, and organizational units throughout the continental United States.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must successfully complete a background investigation for a Public Trust determination, including drug screening, a criminal history check, and a review of financial delinquencies.
Responsibilities:
• Processes financial documents and transactions from designated offices using the agency's financial management platform.
• Reviews accounting practices for compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations, including the Single Audit Act, generally accepted government accounting practices, and relevant federal financial management guidance.
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• One (1) year of experience with financial, budgetary or a related field.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience supporting the U.S. Government.
