[About the Role] L3Harris in Salt Lake City is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Warfare (EW) and Digital Communications Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. As a crucial contributor, you will leverage your expertise in signal processing, communications systems, and algorithm development to drive innovation in advanced defense technologies. [Responsibilities]
- Design, develop, and analyze communication system architectures and algorithms for EW and digital communications projects.
- Execute full-cycle product development from requirements analysis to simulation, coding, synthesis, placement, routing, and verification testing.
- Implement, simulate, and validate algorithms using tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent.
- Support FPGA development, including VHDL or Verilog coding, synthesis, and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and innovative solutions.
- Conduct laboratory testing using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and advanced measurement equipment.
- Document technical processes, simulation results, and system performance for internal and customer review.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 9+ years, Master's (MSEE) with 7+ years, or PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or similar analytical toolsets.
- Experience in system architecture, FPGA development, and programming in C++, C#, or C.
[Preferred Skills]
- Background in Electronic Warfare.
- Expertise in Python, Simulink, and advanced algorithm development.
- Experience with high-rate, satellite, and spread spectrum communications.
- Familiarity with Software Defined Radios and Digital Signal Processing.
- Skills in VHDL (preferred) or Verilog.
- Proficiency in Git or other code revision management tools.
- Advanced laboratory debugging capabilities.
