Position Title: RSI – Cyber Engineer
Location: Alexandria, VA – Hybrid (must reside in the DC/MD/VA area)
Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS)
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct technology assessments in support of DoD CORA and CCRI efforts, with a primary focus on Linux environments.
Perform interviews, examinations, and technical testing to evaluate compliance with DoD security engineering standards and policy requirements.
Assist in preparing assessment deliverables, including Security Control Assessment Reports, Security Risk Assessments, and related documentation.
Prepare and present briefings and reports on inspection results, critical areas of concern, and the remediation actions needed to reach compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
2–3 years of relevant experience
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
Demonstrated proficiency in Linux operating systems (primary environment)
Working knowledge of DoD STIGs
Familiarity with DoD CND OPORDs and TASKORDs
Familiarity with DoD CCRI/CORA assessment areas, including Technical, Computer Network Defense (CND), and Contributing Factors
Experience with common assessment tools such as STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus, WebInspect, Burp Suite, and RedSeal
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle Databases (assessment, hardening, or administration)
Experience with UNIX operating systems
Familiarity with one or more of the following:
Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Server
Routing and switching
Network defense appliances (firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies)
