About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise storage projects built on Everpure technology, managing engagements from kickoff through handoff. Projects include new array deployments, data migrations, Evergreen upgrades and expansions, and data protection and cyber-resilience initiatives. You will work with Professional and Advanced Services engineers, customer stakeholders, and partner teams to keep projects on scope, on schedule, and on budget. Experience with Everpure products is highly desired.
You don’t need to be a storage engineer, but you should be technical enough to understand storage architectures, migrations, and cutovers, and to hold credible conversations with engineers and customer infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full project lifecycle, from initiation through closeout, including project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports
Coordinate Everpure FlashArray, FlashBlade, and related deployments, including install, configuration, and validation
Plan and manage migrations from legacy storage to Everpure arrays, including cutover windows and rollback planning
Manage Evergreen activities such as controller upgrades, capacity expansions, and refresh cycles
Serve as the primary contact for customer sponsors, infrastructure leads, and application owners, running kickoffs, weekly status calls, steering committees, and executive readouts
Translate technical details into clear business updates, and manage scope, change requests, and expectations to protect quality and margin
Schedule and coordinate engineers, architects, and field resources across concurrent projects, working with Everpure Professional and Advanced Services, partners, and third-party vendors
Track hours, forecast utilization, and report on budget versus actuals
Apply consistent delivery methodology and documentation standards, verify acceptance criteria, as-built documentation, and knowledge transfer before closeout, and capture lessons learned
Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance
5+ years of IT project management experience, including 3+ years on infrastructure or storage projects
Working knowledge of enterprise storage: block, file, and object storage, SAN/NAS, replication, snapshots, RAID and data reduction, and performance and capacity planning
Experience managing data center migrations or storage refresh projects
Strong command of project management frameworks (PMI/PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid)
Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools, plus Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication, with executive-level presentation skills
Experience managing budgets, change control, and statements of work (SOWs)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Everpure products highly desired, including Pure Storage/Everpure FlashArray, FlashBlade, or Portworx project delivery
Everpure/Pure certification, or the ability to earn one within 90 days
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
Familiarity with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Oracle/SQL workloads, and backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik)
Understanding of cyber-resilience concepts such as immutable snapshots, ransomware recovery, and disaster recovery planning
Experience in a professional services, partner, or consulting delivery model, supporting multiple concurrent projects in a multi-time-zone environment
