Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger, resolve aging and unmatched items, and support month-end and year-end close.
Maintain vendor records and tax and banking documentation under established onboarding and change controls; verify SAM.gov status when applicable. Respond to vendor inquiries and coordinate with Procurement, Contracts, and Program Finance to resolve issues.
Prepare ACH, wire, and check payment batches with required approvals. Monitor due dates, discounts, payment holds, cash requirements, and AP aging.
Reconcile information between accounting and procurement systems, produce AP reports, and support 1099 preparation, controls testing, and internal, external, and government audits.
Recommend process improvements and automation, troubleshoot routine system issues, escalate concerns, and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
At least two years of accounts payable, accounting, or closely related experience, with the ability to process fluctuating invoice volumes accurately and meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of government contracting principles and U.S. GAAP as applied to AP, accruals, period-end cutoff, general ledger coding, and reconciliations.
Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and working knowledge of Contraqer. Other applicable applications are Deltek Costpoint or Unanet.
Proficiency in Excel, including filters, sorting, lookup functions, pivot tables, and reconciliation of large data sets.
Strong communication, organization, judgment, and attention to detail; ability to manage competing priorities and safeguard confidential financial and vendor information.

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Federal GovCon AP or accounting experience, with advanced knowledge of contract structures, funding, direct and indirect costs, cost allowability, audit support, and FAR/DFARS requirements.
