Structures Mechanic - Secret Clearance required

We are seeking a Structures Mechanic with Secret Clearance for a critical position at Beale Air Force Base, CA. This role involves maintaining and repairing aircraft structures, ensuring airworthiness, and performing inspections to meet stringent safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and repair aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, and empennage
• Perform structural repairs using composite materials and adhesives
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify cracks, corrosion, and other defects
• Document all work using proper maintenance forms and procedures
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance
• 3+ years of experience as an aircraft structures mechanic
• Experience with composite materials and repair techniques
• Knowledge of NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, dye penetrant)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on military aircraft
• Familiarity with FAA and DoD maintenance regulations
• Certification in aircraft structures maintenance

Work Environment:
This position requires frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is essential. Travel may be required to support various aircraft deployments.
