Senior Full Stack Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support application development, integration, and modernization initiatives for a mission-critical federal program in Huntsville, AL . The Senior Full Stack Developer will design and develop secure, scalable applications across front-end and back-end environments, build APIs and microservices, and support cloud modernization efforts. This individual will collaborate with DevSecOps, Cloud, Data, and QA teams to deliver enterprise applications that meet federal security and performance standards. This position is fully onsite in Huntsville, AL and requires an active TS/SCI clearance!

Responsibilities of the Senior Full Stack Developer:

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components for enterprise applications
• Build and optimize REST APIs, microservices, and system-to-system integrations
• Develop secure, scalable, cloud-ready applications using modern software engineering frameworks
• Support cloud modernization initiatives, application migrations, and AWS-based environments
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Develop and maintain integrations with relational and NoSQL databases
• Implement secure coding practices, logging, auditing, and application security controls
• Troubleshoot application defects, optimize performance, and improve system reliability
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical design reviews, and demonstrations
• Support automated testing, integration testing, and application validation throughout the software development lifecycle
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers while contributing to technical architecture and engineering best practices
• Develop technical documentation, API specifications, system diagrams, and implementation procedures

Qualifications for the Senior Full Stack Developer:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 8+ years of professional software engineering or full-stack development experience
• Strong experience developing both front-end and back-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies
• Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise application integrations
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automated testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of secure software development, application architecture, and performance optimization
• Experience troubleshooting complex application issues across front-end, back-end, and database environments
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaborative engineering environments
• Strong communication, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting federal law enforcement, Intelligence Community, or national security programs
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications within AWS environments
• Proficiency with Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized applications, and serverless architectures
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud automation, and application migration initiatives
• Experience with performance engineering, load testing, and automated quality assurance pipelines
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, secure coding requirements, and application compliance frameworks

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Developer includes:

• Salary: $150,000 - $170,000
