SAIC has an immediate need for a Software Testing Engineer to support the Precision Fires team supporting the Aviation and Missile Centerlocated in Huntsville, AL onsite at Redstone Arsenal.

• BS degree and two (2) years of practical experience; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree

Target salary range: $60,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the development of test plans, test schedule, and approach for all testing environments
- Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
- Performs tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
- Supports verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
- Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
- Documents and works to resolve all complex problem and reports progress on problem resolution to management
Qualifications
Required Education:
• BS degree and two (2) years of practical experience; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree
Required Clearance:
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required
Required Skills:
- Understanding of software test methodologies
- Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in organizationally complex environments
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with significant experience leading concurrent mission operations
- Working knowledge of test range planning and coordination
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with an ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Experience using version control software
