Job Description
HyerTek is a federal technology consulting firm delivering secure enterprise applications, data analytics, cloud infrastructure, and modernization solutions to federal government agencies.
HyerTek is seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Developer to configure, extend, and integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, and the Microsoft Power Platform. The work supports connected service delivery and operational workflows for federal customers, including service requests, work orders, asset management, workforce scheduling, and event and exercise coordination.
A successful candidate will own solutions end to end, from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support. You will design a shared Dataverse data model, build model-driven apps, Power Pages sites, and reusable PCF controls, and develop C#/.NET plug-ins and integrations that connect Dynamics 365 with enterprise systems. You will work directly with customer stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to turn business requirements into secure, maintainable solutions.
This role uses approved AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code, configuration, testing, and documentation. You are expected to apply sound engineering judgment to review and validate all AI-generated output before it is used in a production environment.
Candidates must reside in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, including Northern Virginia or Maryland, and be available for customer meetings and onsite collaboration as required.
Responsibilities
Dynamics 365 Configuration and Extension
• Configure and extend Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Field Service to support connected service delivery and operational workflows.
• Configure Customer Service capabilities, including case management, queues, routing, service-level agreements, and knowledge management.

Power Platform Development
• Develop model-driven applications and secure Power Pages experiences for internal and external users.
• Build reusable Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls supporting interactive asset views, workforce assignments, scheduling, location selection, and event coordination.
• Build Power Automate flows that automate workflows across ITSM, asset management, workforce, location, and event management functions, with appropriate error handling and monitoring.
Data Modeling and Integration
• Design a shared Dataverse data model linking personnel, assets, locations, service requests, work orders, and events or exercises.
• Develop C#/.NET plug-ins, custom APIs, and integration components to support complex business rules and external system connectivity.
• Integrate enterprise systems using REST APIs, the Dataverse Web API, custom connectors, and Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
• Support Power BI dashboards and operational analytics through reliable data structures and integrations.
Security, Quality, and Application Lifecycle
• Implement security, accessibility, validation, logging, and performance improvements across applications and integrations.
• Manage application lifecycle processes using Git, Azure DevOps or GitHub, Power Platform CLI, managed solutions, and deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and integrated systems.
Delivery and Collaboration
• Participate in requirements sessions, technical design, demonstrations, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Produce clear technical documentation, solution designs, and customer-handoff materials.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying production solutions on Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Demonstrated experience developing, extending, and deploying production solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Dynamics 365 Field Service.
• Strong development experience with Power Pages, model-driven Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate.
• Hands-on experience building PCF controls using TypeScript, React, and the PCF SDK, including field and dataset controls integrated with Dataverse and model-driven apps.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, including Dataverse plug-ins, custom APIs, integration services, and server-side business logic.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for application extensions and custom user experiences.
• Experience designing Dataverse tables, relationships, alternate keys, business rules, business process flows, and role-based security.
• Experience developing secure Power Pages sites using authentication, web roles, table permissions, forms, lists, and Liquid templates.
• Experience building Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, assignments, and data synchronization, with error handling and monitoring.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems using REST APIs, Dataverse Web API, custom connectors, and Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
• Experience managing application lifecycle processes using Git, Azure DevOps or GitHub, Power Platform CLI, managed solutions, and deployment pipelines.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI-assisted development platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot), with the judgment to review and validate AI-generated code and documentation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and produce clear technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple concurrent engagements.
• Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
