Junior-Grade COMSATCOM Engineer
Job Description
TriSept Corporation is seeking a Junior-Grade COMSATCOM Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to support our Government customers in the planning, assessment, and analysis of commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) systems. The selected candidate will work fully remote with the possibility of infrequent domestic and international travel, based on mission requirements.
Responsibilities
• Participate in or conduct technology assessments, market research, and analysis to identify and recommend viable solutions to augment current DoW wideband and narrowband satellite systems, supporting the Government in exploring leading edge technologies that provide secure and reliable network solutions
• Assist in evaluating the impact of transitioning COMSATCOM systems to future technological advances adopted by the DoW, including interoperability and end-to-end performance considerations
• Collect and analyze DoW COMSATCOM utilization data and support the development of technical analysis and problem identification
• Evaluate alternative SATCOM architectures and DoW COMSATCOM user equipment in support of acquisition planning
• Assist in developing customer requirements and documentation outlining requirements and recommending solutions
• Support the development of product and technology assessment reports, white papers, technical reports, briefings, studies, and records of proceedings including meeting minutes
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• 2 to 5 years of experience in satellite communications, radio frequency engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Active Secret security clearance required
• Strong analytical and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid telework environment
• Experience with DoW COMSATCOM systems, policies, or acquisition processes
