Senior DevSecOps & Test Automation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
X8 is seeking a Senior Computer and Information Systems Manager to support USCYBERCOM mission systems and cyberspace operations. This role combines technical leadership in DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing with analysis and coordination supporting mission-critical cyber capabilities.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Design and sustain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure for USCYBERCOM mission systems.
• Develop and optimize automated testing frameworks and validation pipelines for secure, reliable software.
• Support deployment and lifecycle management across development, test, and operational environments.
• Evaluate containerization, automation, and DevOps technologies for mission integration.
• Document architectures, test plans, CI/CD workflows, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with developers, cybersecurity personnel, and stakeholders to translate requirements into testable solutions.
• Support cyberspace operations strategy, policy, and doctrine analysis; assess program risks and brief actionable findings to senior officials.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with large-scale CI/CD infrastructure and source control tools (e.g., GitLab, MinIO, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
• Experience integrating, deploying, and validating software across development, test, and operational pipelines.
• Experience with vSphere or Aria virtualization platforms and Podman/Docker containers.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Robot Framework, pytest, or GoogleTest.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical test documentation.
WHAT DESIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
• Developmental testing or cybersecurity engineering experience; related master’s degree.
• Cross-compilation across architectures (PPC, MIPS, x86, ARM, RISC-V).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and translating user stories into measurable test objectives.
• GIAC Cloud Security Automation certification or comparable cybersecurity/DevOps credential.
MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
