- Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET, C#, MVC, and Web Forms where needed.

- Apply UX/UI best practices and design thinking to deliver user-centric interfaces, collaborating with designers on layout and usability.
- Implement and extend components within Bootstrap, Material, and emerging enterprise design systems.
- Ensure all deliverables meet WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards; remediate issues using tools like JAWS and axe.
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend services, REST APIs, middleware, and SQL Server integrations.
- Follow secure coding practices to handle classified and sensitive data per state standards.
- Manage application deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across multiple environments. Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), design, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience (graduate degree in HCI or design with coding background preferred).
- 5+ years professional experience in .NET and C# development, as well as strong front-end development.
- Demonstrable UX/UI knowledge: design thinking, responsive design, and usability principles with a portfolio showing UI/front-end work.
- Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript.
- Formal WCAG training and 5+ years hands-on experience coding and testing for WCAG 2.1 AA using assistive and automated tools.
- Recent (within 3 years) experience with modern frameworks and best practices.
- Proficient in enterprise design systems (not just component libraries/frameworks).
- 5+ years experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, APIs, and middleware.
- Experience supporting enterprise production apps and handling classified/sensitive data. Preferred Skills
- Accessibility certification (DHS Trusted Tester, IAAP WAS, CPACC, or similar).
- Experience in government or healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with Angular, GitHub, and AWS.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications. Benefits
- 100% remote work (Iowa residents preferred)
- Direct impact on public-facing applications serving Iowans statewide
- Opportunity for professional growth in accessibility, enterprise design systems, and cloud technologies
- Collaborative environment with cross-disciplinary teams
- Exposure to the latest in secure, accessible, and modern application development How to Apply
- Submit a resume and portfolio or code samples showing both front-end/UI and back-end .NET work.
- Be prepared to discuss hands-on experience in .NET, front-end technologies, accessibility standards, and enterprise design systems in interviews.
- Ensure you meet all required qualifications and have recent, relevant experience.
- Only candidates providing code samples or portfolios will be considered.
