Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Cyberspace Operations Strategist to shape and drive AWS engagement across the Department of War (DoW) and wider U.S. Government (USG) cyberspace operations ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of cyberspace operations, policy, requirements, and capability development, engaging across the stakeholders and commands that shape and execute the DoW cyber mission — including the Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD), the DoW Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity, U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), the Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC), the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF), and the Service Cyber Components. Internally, you will partner with the AWS Public Policy team, AWS Security, and other AWS teams to align AWS engagement and support into the DoW.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
• Advise DoW leaders on how AWS supports their mission objectives across capability development, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and Zero Trust
• Partner with the AWS Public Policy team, AWS Security, and other AWS teams to align AWS engagement and support into the DoW
• Coordinate AWS engagement across the policy, oversight, resourcing, and operational stakeholders that shape and execute the DoW cyber mission
• Inform mission requirements and connect AWS solutions to the intelligence, operations, plans and policy, communications, and resource-integration functions of the DoW cyber mission
• Author strategy documents, decision papers, and executive briefings that support crisis response and critical-infrastructure resilience priorities
A day in the life
You will translate DoW and U.S. Government cyber priorities into AWS's engagement strategy, advising DoW leaders on how AWS supports their mission objectives. The role demands fluency across the full span of the cyber mission — from Zero Trust architecture, identity, credential, and access management (ICAM), and threat intelligence sharing partnerships to the offensive, defensive, and hunt-forward operations executed by the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and its threat-aligned task forces and program offices. It also requires fluency in cyber policy, enabling you to engage effectively with public policy advocates, interagency partners, and national cyber leadership.
