Azure Cloud / DevOps Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud / DevOps Engineer to support the development, modernization, and ongoing operation of Microsoft Azure infrastructure. This position combines cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, DevOps, and security-focused responsibilities.
The engineer will help bring existing cloud resources under automated management, improve infrastructure deployment processes, address security findings, and support reliable cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
Build, configure, and maintain Azure compute, networking, storage, and related cloud services.
Modernize existing infrastructure by bringing manually managed Azure resources under source control and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using PowerShell and other IaC technologies.
Automate cloud deployments and recurring operational processes.
Review cloud security findings and remediate critical and high-priority vulnerabilities or configuration issues.
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environments for availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Develop and configure CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and application deployments.
Partner with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams on cloud initiatives.
Apply cloud architecture, governance, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
Experience automating infrastructure and operational processes.
Strong PowerShell skills.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
Knowledge of Azure security, governance, compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
Experience supporting CI/CD processes.
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer.
AWS certifications or experience.
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
Docker and/or Kubernetes experience.
Advanced networking knowledge.
GitLab CI/CD experience.
