Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structures Mechanic to join our team. This position requires a Secret clearance and will involve critical maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft structural maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, and empennage.
• Identify and correct structural defects, cracks, and damage using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Fabricate and install structural components as required, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the integrity of aircraft structures.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure the safe and efficient completion of all tasks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in aircraft maintenance preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft structural maintenance.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and NDT equipment.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural principles and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific aircraft types (e.g., F-22, F-35, C-17).
• Certification in structural maintenance from an accredited institution.
• Experience working in a military or government contracting environment.

Work Environment:

This position will be based at Beale Air Force Base, CA. The work environment is typical of an aircraft maintenance facility, with exposure to various tools, equipment, and materials. The ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment is essential.
