Space System Acquistion/Program Management Subject Matter Expert

About the Role

OMNI Consulting Solutions is hiring a Space Systems Acquisition/Program Management Subject Matter Expert to help drive execution, coordination, and follow-through across complex space-related programs. In this role, you will help OMNI support program managers by keeping action items, schedules, decision points, and documentation organized so teams can stay aligned and move work forward efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare acquisition documentation, briefing materials, meeting read-aheads, status reports, and program records.
• Support daily program execution with Air Force and Space Force Program Managers.
• Own critical actions, suspense items, staff packages, briefings, trackers, and follow-up tasks.
• Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, action-item trackers, decision logs, and execution tools.
• Coordinate across government, contractor, FFRDC, and SETA teams for timely integrated execution.
• Identify emerging issues, staffing gaps, and execution risks and drive resolution.
• Support program planning, transition activities, and execution across ground, launch, and satellite segments.
• Provide responsive program support that improves PM effectiveness and reduces administrative burden.
• Maintain continuity across multiple lines of effort amid competing priorities.
• Keep stakeholders aligned, decisions prepared, and follow-through disciplined.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with space systems.
• Space systems experience may be in the ground, launch, or satellite segment.
• Worked in a SCIF or SAPF for 2 of the last 5 years.
• Wavers may be considered for significant SCIF/SAPF experience that does not meet the 2-of-last-5-years threshold.
• Master of Science (M.S.) degree required.
• Master of Arts (M.A.) is not accepted for this SME-level position.
• 15+ years of experience supporting government work, either as a contractor or direct government employee.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum of a master's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Program Element Monitor, Materiel Leader, or Squadron Commander.
• Former Air Force or Space Force Acquisition Officer.
