Job Description

Are you dreaming about a position where you can deliver quality, meaningful results? Come be a part of our diverse, multi-disciplined team of engineers, operating in an agile environment, using the latest tools and methodologies. Develop your technical acumen as well as your leadership skills at a company with huge potential for long-term career growth. As an Engineering Manager I, you will be able to leverage your technical leadership skills to guide a functional team through complex engineering challenges, ensuring that we maintain a high standard of technical problem-solving and process improvement. You will build and lead high-performing teams by fostering a collaborative environment and cross-functional collaboration, which will drive innovation and efficiency in our projects. Your project management and risk assessment capabilities will enable me to effectively manage resources, mitigate potential risks, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. By focusing on quality assurance and compliance, you will ensure that our engineering solutions meet all relevant standards and regulations. Additionally, your experience in technical planning and execution, coupled with analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, will allow you to strategically align our initiatives with organizational goals and industry advancements.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

  • Represent the team in cross-functional forums. Defendand negotiate for what is best for the business, including pushing back on requests that don't serve program or BA outcomes
  • Drive scalability, automation, and a common approach as the default; approve deliberate exceptions for appropriate business cases
  • Balance the speed of the business against enterprise cost, risk, schedule, and priority. Resist both "everything is special" and "one size fits all"
  • Understand and correctly apply direct vs. indirect work and billing, and coach the team on the same
