Job Description
Senior System Administrator - Advanced Security Operations
Join our team as a senior System Administrator and technical contributor responsible for sustaining and evolving a high-performance operational IT environment. This role is not a ticket-only administrator position; we are seeking a proactive professional who enjoys working directly with users and optimizing workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain high-performance compute hardware
- Work on installation and sustainment efforts for new and legacy hardware within the datacenter environment
- Manage configuration using Ansible
- Document procedures, configurations, and lessons learned to create repeatable, scalable deployment playbooks
- Identify gaps in onsite support coverage and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and user workflows
- Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures with clarity for seamless transition to another engineer
- Support Virtualization efforts and contribute to IT modernization strategies
- Adapt as mission requirements evolve
Required Skills:
- Strong Linux Administration
- Networking Skills
- Ability to document processes (technical in nature)

- Strong VMware Experience
- Strong Communication Skills interacting with Customers
- Ability to operate independently while coordinating effectively with distributed support teams

Experience Required: 9 years with or without a B.S. in a technical field

Salary Range: $123,000 - $146,000
