Gridiron IT is seeking a Data Scientist (AI/ML) support a federal program in Chantilly, VA
Chantilly, VA
Bachelors required
Minimum 10 years experience
Develops machine learning models, advanced analytics solutions, and generative AI capabilities to power intelligent products and data-driven decision-making. Operating across the full model lifecycle—from data exploration and feature engineering to validation and refinement—the scientist prototypes scalable predictive, classification, and optimization solutions. The position actively integrates modern generative AI techniques, executing large language model (LLM) fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows. Partnering closely with data engineering, product, and MLOps teams, the specialist establishes rigorous experimental designs, monitors model fairness and governance, and translates complex algorithmic outcomes into production-ready systems and impactful stakeholder insights.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance required
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
