Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Government Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic technology-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms and access concerns, document activities using computer or tablet systems, and deliver outstanding customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess handcuffing certification, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
