We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for supporting our engineering projects and ensuring the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with design, development, and testing of engineering systems and components.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including test reports, schematics, and project logs.
- Support prototyping and fabrication processes, including the use of CAD software and workshop tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using common engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with specific engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Clearance Requirements:
This position requires a Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain this clearance.
