Summary:
• Perform cyber threat hunting operations and advanced data science analysis across big data platform environments.
• Conduct research, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing to uncover patterns and translate findings into interactive data visualizations.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to capture cyber operations requirements, develop use cases, and deliver end-user training.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical master's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 14+ years
• Total Compensation: $323k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Execute proactive cyber threat hunting activities on big data platforms to identify and report on emerging threats.
• Develop, evaluate, and deploy threat detection signatures utilizing SNORT, SIGMA, Yara, and YAML.
• Apply data science methods, operational research, and statistical modeling to generate actionable threat intelligence.
• Query and analyze diverse cyber defense data streams using SQL, KQL, and Python.
• Build intuitive customer-facing dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power-BI and Superset.
• Perform in-depth network traffic analysis using packet capture tools including Wireshark, TCP-DUMP, and Zeek.
• Utilize SIEM and SOAR technologies while mapping activities and adversary behaviors to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Assess, validate, and document data feeds resident within cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
• Deliver briefings, interactive demonstrations, and technical training sessions to operational teams.
