Summary:
• Conduct defensive cyber operations and threat hunt activities across big data platforms to detect vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
• Perform statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and operational research to convert processes into automated capabilities.
• Build intuitive data visualizations and dashboards to communicate analytical findings.
• Utilize Python, SQL, Splunk, Wireshark, AWS, and Azure to analyze network traffic and satisfy operational requirements.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical master's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 14+ years
• Total Compensation: $323k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Conduct threat hunt operations and maintain situational awareness of emerging cyber threats.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, operational gaps, and data enrichment functions.
• Perform quality assurance checks on platform data and evaluate new data feeds for relevance and usability.
• Leverage advanced statistical modeling to uncover hidden patterns and translate them into intuitive visualizations.
• Synthesize diverse data streams into coherent data products and dashboards.
• Develop and deploy threat detection signatures and categorize attack vectors using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Perform network traffic analysis using methods including TCP-DUMP, Wireshark, and Zeek.
• Utilize query languages including SQL and KQL alongside Python to support analytic requests.
• Support demonstration and training events for end users on platform capabilities.
Telework:
This position supports a hybrid schedule requiring up to four days per week on-site with telework flexibility.
