Job Description
Gridiron IT is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Core Systems/Network) to support a federal program in Chantilly, VA.

Systems Engineer - Designs, deploys, and maintains enterprise hybrid infrastructure, network environments, and core storage systems. This role supports the entire lifecycle of infrastructure management, from automated configuration and continuous patching to disaster recovery and system accreditation (RMF/ATO). Merging technical execution with systems analysis, the engineer diagnoses complex interoperability issues across application dependencies while ensuring all systems remain hardened and compliant with federal security standards. Operating as a core technical resource, they author standard operating procedures, provide technical support to IT staff, and advise management on the feasibility and technical validation of future technology modernizations and acquisitions.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance required
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
