Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structures Mechanic to join our team at Beale Air Force Base, CA. This position requires a Secret clearance and offers an opportunity to work on critical aerospace maintenance and repair projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures and components.
• Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fabricate, assemble, and install structural components.
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify cracks, corrosion, and other structural defects.
• Collaborate with other mechanics, engineers, and supervisors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, tools employed, and any issues encountered.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in aircraft structures preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structures Mechanic or related field, preferably in an aerospace environment.
• Secret clearance required; ability to obtain clearance if not already possessed.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Knowledge of aircraft structural materials and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on specific aircraft types (e.g., B-1B, B-2, B-52, KC-10, KC-46, KC-135).
• Certification in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, or ultrasonic testing.
• Familiarity with aircraft maintenance documentation systems.
