Job Description

Envisioneering, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to fill a direct support position. This person will support cutting-edge research, development, testing, and installation of advanced electronic warfare (EW) systems for the U.S. Navy. Under the guidance of senior engineers and technicians, the incumbent will assist in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of specialized electronic hardware, RF components, and custom systems.  We seek individuals who are well rounded, with cross discipline skills, and willing to jump in and help make programs successful.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

  • Test Setup and Configuration: Prepare and configure electronic warfare test environments, including RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, power meters, and data acquisition systems. Establish appropriate signal levels, frequency ranges, and measurement configurations to support accurate and repeatable testing.

  • Measurement and Signal Analysis: Perform RF measurements and mathematical analysis of electromagnetic signals, including frequency, bandwidth, power, gain, attenuation, noise, and signal-to-noise ratio. Apply mathematical principles to characterize signal behavior, interference, and electronic warfare system performance.

  • Lab & Field Test Execution and Data Collection: Execute test procedures to evaluate electronic support, electronic attack, and signal detection capabilities. Collect, process, and analyze measurement data to assess system performance against defined requirements and theoretical expectations.

  • Test Automation and Programming: Develop, modify, and execute automated test scripts using programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW. Integrate RF instrumentation, automate measurement sequences, and develop data processing tools to improve test efficiency, repeatability, and accuracy.

  • Test Equipment Troubleshooting and Performance Analysis: Configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot RF instrumentation, signal paths, and laboratory test setups. Apply quantitative and statistical methods to identify measurement errors, evaluate signal integrity, analyze test results, and document system performance for engineering teams.
