Supervisory Financial Management Analyst

Duties

• Lead large-scale financial management operations, including budget planning, execution, and reporting.
• Oversee development and implementation of financial policies and audit-ready practices.
• Direct a large, diverse workforce through priority setting, work assignments, and performance management.
• Provide expert financial advice to senior leadership on budget trends, program changes, and resource needs.
• Represent the organization in senior meetings to communicate financial plans and program impacts.
• Ensure financial data and reports meet compliance and transparency standards.

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes leading budget and financial activities, supervising a large workforce, ensuring audit-ready practices, and managing high-priority financial projects for senior leadership.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
