Cybersecurity Engineer-CyberArk

As a Cybersecurity Engineer II, your primary duty is to support the implementation, configuration management, system design and maintenance of cybersecurity solutions to support key infrastructure and cybersecurity stakeholders. An initial key part of your role will be to support DCSA’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Enterprise Security Solutions (ESS). You will support the continued implementation of system configurations to baseline PAM and ESS solutions. Additionally, you will support the continued maintenance activities required for each solution. Documentation for the purpose of capturing trouble resolution, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Continuity of Operations (CONOPS) will be required. This role requires the development of project tasks and schedules, in coordination with contract leadership, to track major system designs, changes, and implementation milestones for senior leadership briefings. You will be collaborating with security operations, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to enhance system capabilities. You will be responsible for ensuring all activities are aligned with critical compliance standards like NIST 800-53 and RMF through comprehensive documentation and technical leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of five (5) years in Information Technology or Cyber Security field
• Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED, eligible to be upgraded to TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s degree: Computer Science, Cyber Security, or other Information Technology field or 6 years of dedicated Cybersecurity Engineering experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
• Certifications:
o Must meet DoD 8140/8570 IAM or IAT Level II certifications’ requirements at the time of hire by having one of the following certifications. (CCNA Security, CySA +, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSSP, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate) or GSLC
• 1-2 years System Implementation and Design Experience
• Highly Desired:
o CyberArk (Idira) Experience
o CrowdStrike Falcon Experience
o Cybersecurity Solution Integrations
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in the implementation, support and maintenance of a CyberArk PAM Self-Hosted infrastructure solution in a highly available configuration in either Cloud or On-Prem environments
• Experience analyzing system design and troubleshooting CyberArk PAM Self-Hosted and CrowdStrike Falcon solutions
• Proven experience in secure systems design
• Prior Windows and Linux Systems Administration Experience
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, BASH, or VBScript
• Experience with Enterprise Security Solution implementations
• CrowdStrike Falcon administration and system support
• Experience in system configuration and maintenance for Windows and RHEL Servers
• Moderate knowledge of Active Directory and other IdP solutions
• Moderate experience in networking principles and protocols
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to support under strict deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Hybrid Position. Required two (2) days onsite per week at Quantico, VA.
While this is a mostly telework position there is an onsite requirement to be present up to two (2) days a week at the contract site at Quantico, VA.
• When working at an alternate worksite (other than DCSA facilities or corporate office space) you must maintain the ability to have reliable communication over voice (cell phone preferred) and ensure a stable, capable internet connection.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to support critical security incidents, maintenance windows, and emergency response activities as needed
