About This Role
We’re looking for an Applications Developer to build and maintain the custom applications and services behind the Sponsor’s production and development efforts. The Sponsor’s production team makes interactive, mobile, video, web and audio products that explain complex topics clearly to a range of executive customers. The Sponsor runs its own cloud-based infrastructure and custom tooling to support that work. You’ll do frontend and backend development on the applications producers rely on every day, and on the services that make complex visual products possible. You’ll need polished communication, teamwork and collaborative development skills, and the ability to manage a moderate to heavy workload.
Compensation
180,000 - 280,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain frontend and backend applications and services that improve the producer experience
Develop tools and services that support the production of complex visual products for executive customers
Build presentational layers with HTML5/CSS3, SASS, and Hugo or other static site generators
Develop application logic with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Vue, React and Node.js
Build and maintain backend services using Express.js, Koa.js and NGINX
Develop and automate cloud infrastructure on AWS, including CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3 and ELB
Design and maintain data stores on RDS, MySQL and DynamoDB
Manage code with Git and GitHub through collaborative, review-based workflows
Work with producers, designers and fellow developers to turn production needs into working capabilities
Balance competing priorities across a moderate to heavy workload
Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
Demonstrated experience with frontend and backend application development for applications and services that improve the producer experience
Demonstrated experience with frontend and backend application development for applications and services that support the production of complex visual products
Demonstrated experience with version control, including Git and GitHub
Demonstrated experience with presentational development, including HTML5/CSS3, Hugo or other static site generators, and SASS
Demonstrated experience with functional development, including JavaScript, Angular, Vue, React and Node.js
Demonstrated experience with any combination of TypeScript, Webpack, Lerna or Electron
Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure development and automation, including AWS, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CloudWatch, AWS S3 and AWS ELB
Demonstrated experience with Express.js, Koa.js or NGINX (experience with all three is a plus)
Demonstrated experience with RDS, MySQL or DynamoDB
Strong communication, teamwork and collaborative development skills
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure development, auditing and automation using DynamoDB, ECS, Elasticsearch or Kibana
Demonstrated experience with Jenkins or similar automation services
Demonstrated experience with Oracle
Demonstrated experience supporting system security documentation
Demonstrated experience with mobile mapping and charting capabilities
Demonstrated experience with Fastify
Experience supporting the Sponsor or another IC partner
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
