PDS Defense is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer III to lead capital projects, provide engineering leadership, and drive facility improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a results-driven engineer who excels in project management, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Do
Project Leadership

• Lead capital projects from concept through closeout
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and project completion activities
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budgets, schedules, and scope

Engineering & Technical Support

• Provide technical guidance and engineering expertise
• Develop practical and cost-effective solutions
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, reliability, and external partners

Safety & Compliance

• Champion a strong safety culture
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in safety reviews, audits, and contractor safety activities

Financial & Business Planning

• Develop budgets, cost estimates, and capital forecasts
• Prepare capital authorization requests and economic evaluations
• Support capital planning and business improvement initiatives

Contractor & Vendor Management

• Manage supplier and contractor relationships
• Coordinate bidding, procurement, and construction activities
• Oversee project execution and contractor performance

Team Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams
• Mentor and support less-experienced engineers
• Build strong relationships across the organization

Qualifications

🎓 Bachelor's Degree Required

✅ 5-10 Years of Engineering Experience

✅ Strong background in:

• Capital Project Management
• Manufacturing or Facility Engineering
• Mechanical Systems
• Equipment Infrastructure

✅ Experience with:

• Hydraulics & Pneumatics
• Basic PLC and Electrical Systems
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Contractor Management

✈️ Aerospace experience is NOT required
