Description:
On-site in Aiken, SC Our client seeks a Principal Engineer / Technical Support Specialist to support nuclear operations and maintenance programs. This role involves providing technical expertise and support for nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear engineering, systems analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for nuclear power plant operations and maintenance
• Develop and implement engineering solutions for plant upgrades and improvements
• Conduct system analysis and troubleshooting to ensure plant safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support project execution
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory compliance
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations and maintenance
• Strong understanding of nuclear reactor systems and safety protocols
• Experience with project management and systems engineering methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with digital instrumentation and control systems
• Knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements and licensing processes
• Familiarity with advanced reactor technologies and future nuclear systems
