Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CMM Programmer to support a federal energy program in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming coordinate measuring machines, interpreting technical drawings, and performing dimensional inspections to ensure products meet strict engineering and quality standards.

Responsibilities of the CMM Programmer:
- Develop, update, and validate CMM programs used to inspect manufactured components and calibrate production tooling.
- Create and implement fixtures and work-holding solutions to support accurate and repeatable measurements.
- Review engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to determine inspection requirements and dimensional tolerances.
- Collaborate with quality engineering teams on Gauge R&R studies, process capability assessments, measurement correlations, and root cause corrective action initiatives.
- Identify and resolve issues involving CMM programming, probes, fixtures, and measurement accuracy.
- Perform and coordinate routine maintenance of CMM equipment to maintain reliable operation.
- Monitor equipment performance and calibration to ensure measurement systems meet quality requirements
- Provide guidance and training to technicians and operators on CMM programming, setup, and inspection procedures
Qualifications of the CMM Programmer:
- 5+ years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection
- Hands on CMM experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoE Q Clearance or Top Secret clearance
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5
- Programming and operation experience using Zeiss Calypso and similar software

- Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 *flexible based on experience*
