Video Producer

Job Description

McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Video Producer who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI.

Responsibilities of this position will span across all three phases of production – pre-production, production, and post-production – adhering to specific operational requirements and Security/Public Affairs (PAO) review.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing creative concepts, writing scripts, and designing storyboards.


• Scouting locations, coordinating talent, and creating detailed production schedules.


• Generating treatments, shot lists, and daily call sheets.


• Directing on-set personnel, technical crew, and interviewees.


• Operating and managing professional-grade camera, lighting, and audio gear.


• Ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and location protocols.


• Managing stakeholder feedback and revision cycles.


• Ensuring 100% compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements (closed captioning).


• Route assets through proper Public Affairs Office (PAO) and clearances.


• Archiving and backing up raw footage, project files and final masters.

Job Requirements

• Video Production expertise.


• Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
