Sr. UC Network Engineer - Secret Clearance

Piper Companies is seeking a Customer Delivery Engineering Consultant for a leading technology organization supporting government and defense customers. The Customer Delivery Engineering Consultant is located at Scott Air Force Base, IL and requires a hybrid schedule with 4 days per week onsite. An ideal candidate for the Customer Delivery Engineering Consultant is a senior networking and collaboration engineer with expertise in Cisco Unified Communications, enterprise networking, and customer-facing consulting engagements.

Responsibilities of the Customer Delivery Engineering Consultant:

• Lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Cisco networking and collaboration solutions for mission-critical environments.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing guidance on network modernization, architecture, and operational best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, firewall, and unified communications issues while driving resolution across technical teams.
• Support lifecycle management initiatives including firmware upgrades, platform maintenance, and collaboration infrastructure enhancements.

Qualifications of the Customer Delivery Engineering Consultant:

• 8+ years of professional networking and unified communications experience, including Cisco Call Manager, Jabber, and enterprise collaboration technologies.
• CCIE Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent advanced Cisco certification.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to work onsite four days per week at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
• Strong expertise with routing and switching, firewall policy management, spanning tree, gateway protocols (MGCP, H.323, SIP, SCCP), PSTN connectivity, and enterprise UC environments.

Compensation for the Customer Delivery Engineering Consultant includes:

• Salary range: $125,000- $155,000 annually
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), sick leave as required by law, and PTO.
