Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and their practical applications in securing information systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and communications.
• Conduct cryptographic assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Provide expert guidance and support to software developers, security teams, and other stakeholders on cryptographic best practices.
• Stay current with emerging cryptographic technologies and threats, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptography into new and existing systems.
• Mentor and train junior cryptographic professionals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cryptography, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography, with a strong focus on algorithm design, implementation, and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms, including AES, RSA, ECC, and hash functions.
• Experience with cryptographic protocols such as TLS, IPsec, and PKI.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic key management and secure storage practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex cryptographic concepts to non-experts.
• Security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with quantum-resistant cryptography and post-quantum algorithms.
• Knowledge of cryptographic applications in cloud computing and mobile environments.
• Experience with formal verification and cryptographic proof systems.
