Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and their practical applications in securing information systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Conduct cryptographic assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and best practices.
• Collaborate with software developers, security analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate cryptographic controls into applications and systems.
• Stay current with emerging cryptographic technologies and threats, and recommend updates to existing security measures.
• Mentor and train junior cryptographic professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography, with a strong focus on algorithm design, implementation, and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms, including AES, RSA, ECC, and hash functions.
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools, such as OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, and Crypto++
• Strong understanding of cryptographic protocols, including TLS/SSL, IPsec, and PKI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex cryptographic concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with quantum-resistant cryptography and post-quantum algorithms.
• Knowledge of cryptographic applications in cloud computing, IoT, and mobile devices.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
