Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and protocols, and will be able to apply this knowledge to solve complex security challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Analyze and evaluate existing cryptographic implementations for vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Provide technical guidance and support to software developers and security teams.
• Stay current with the latest developments in cryptography and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the secure design and implementation of cryptographic systems.
• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography and security.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and standards (e.g., AES, RSA, ECC, TLS, IPsec).
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle).
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience with quantum cryptography and post-quantum algorithms.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with cloud security and containerization technologies.
