Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and their practical applications in securing information systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and communications.
• Conduct research and stay current with emerging cryptographic technologies and standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to software developers and security teams.
• Review and assess the security of existing cryptographic implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptography into new products and systems.
• Mentor and train junior engineers on cryptographic best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography and information security.
• In-depth knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms (e.g., AES, RSA, ECC).
• Experience with cryptographic protocols (e.g., TLS, IPsec, PKI).
• Strong understanding of cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with quantum-resistant cryptography.
• Knowledge of hardware security modules (HSMs) and secure enclaves.
• Familiarity with cloud security and cryptographic services.
