We are seeking a highly qualified Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and their practical applications in securing information systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Analyze and evaluate existing cryptographic protocols and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to software developers and security teams.
• Conduct research on emerging cryptographic technologies and trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptography into new and existing systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cryptography.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography and information security.
• In-depth knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms.
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle).
• Strong understanding of PKI, digital signatures, and certificate management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with quantum-resistant cryptography.
• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols used in cloud computing and IoT.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, FIPS).
